Pastor Paul and Angie Mullins
Paul Mullins has faithfully served in ministry for over 28 years, answering God’s call in many different roles throughout the church. Over the years he has served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Assistant Pastor, Evangelist, Children’s Pastor, and Pastor, investing his life in teaching and sharing the Word of God with others.
Since 2022, Paul has served the congregation at Paradise as Assistant Pastor. While God has recently led him to assist another church ministry, Paradise remains close to his heart and he continues to work alongside the church family here as well.
Paul is married to his wife Angie, and together they enjoy spending their spare time traveling and looking for their next adventure. Between them, they share a family of six children, whom they love dearly.
While Paul says he doesn’t cling to just one favorite scripture, he often shares that he simply holds on to the entire Word of God as his guiding light for life and ministry.
Known by many for saying, “Here’s the hillbilly version,” Paul has a unique way of breaking down Scripture so that anyone can understand it. His warm personality, quick humor, and ability to bring laughter into his sermons help people connect with the truth of God’s Word in a meaningful and memorable way. Around the church, he has even been affectionately quoted as the “Pretty Pastor.”
Pastor Paul’s heart is simple: to share the truth of God’s Word, encourage people in their faith, and help others grow closer to Christ.
Bro. Jody Cole
Jody Cole is the father of seven children and a powerful example of God’s redeeming grace. He was saved on March 3, 2020, a life-changing moment that marked the beginning of a new journey in Christ. In May of 2021, Jody publicly announced his calling to preach, answering God’s call with humility and obedience.
On June 3, 2021, Mansfield Recovery was birthed in a small church on Poth Road in Mansfield. What began as a simple step of faith has grown into a ministry of hope, healing, and restoration for those battling addiction. Jody’s past gives his ministry a deep authenticity—he has walked the road of addiction himself. Because of this, when he says he understands, he truly does. He meets people where they are, offering compassion, truth, and hope rooted in the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Jody’s life stands as a living testimony that God does change lives. He is a walking example of God’s miracle-working power and unfailing mercy. His favorite scripture, Nahum 1:7 (KJV), reflects his heart and ministry:
“The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him.”
Known for his heartfelt declaration, “I love my Master,” Jody lives to serve Christ and to help others find freedom, purpose, and new life through Him.
Pastor David & Denise Clark
Pastor David Clark has dedicated over 52 years to serving Jesus, having been saved at the young age of five. He pursued his calling academically at Evangel University, a Christian school in Missouri, and graduated in 1990.
Throughout his ministry, Pastor David has worn many hats, reflecting his passion for both worship and shepherding the next generation. He directed and managed sound for the drama Heaven's Gates, Hell's Flames for two years, served as Youth and Children’s Pastor at four different churches, and led congregations as a Lead Pastor. He has also directed musicals, as well as children’s and adult choirs, and is skilled in piano and trumpet.
David is married to Denise, and together they are blessed with six children and two beloved dogs. His ministry and life are guided by his favorite Scripture: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” — Philippians 4:13 KJV
Bro. James and Melissa West
Bro. Corey and Marci Carroll
Corey Carroll was saved in 1997 at Marion Enterprise Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a member for 24 years. In 2001, he felt the call to preach the gospel and has been evangelizing across several states ever since. During his ministry, Corey also served as Pastor at Marion Enterprise Baptist for four years while continuing his evangelistic work.
In January 2025, Corey and his wife, Marci, joined Paradise Church. He was ordained through Paradise and considers it a blessing to serve where God has placed him. Corey is passionate about sharing the gospel and is excited to see all that the Lord has in store for the church and its members.
His favorite scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV): “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
In his spare time, Corey enjoys bow hunting deer and spending time outdoors.
Bro. Gary and Hannah Thompson
Gary Thompson is a devoted servant of Christ with a deep family legacy in ministry. His grandfather, Clyde Thompson, was a former pastor at Paradise, and Gary had the privilege of preaching his second message as a minister at Paradise, continuing that spiritual heritage.
Gary was saved on March 28, 2017, and has been preaching the Gospel since July 1, 2018. Throughout his Christian walk, he has faithfully served in many roles, including Head Pastor, Assistant Pastor, Discipleship Leader, Youth and Adult Sunday School Teacher, and he currently serves as an Evangelist. His ministry is marked by a passion for sharing the truth of God’s Word and encouraging believers to trust fully in the Lord.
He is married to his wife, Hannah, and together they enjoy traveling, visiting state parks, exploring historical locations, and finding unique mom-and-pop restaurants along the way.
Gary’s life and ministry are strongly rooted in his go-to scripture, Exodus 14:14: “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” This verse holds special meaning to him, as he has witnessed its truth firsthand throughout his life and ministry.
