GIVING-A HEART RESPONSE TO GOD'S GRACE
Giving is more than a moment in a service—it is an act of worship and a reflection of our trust in God. The Bible teaches us that everything we have comes from the Lord, and generosity is one way we honor Him with what He has entrusted to us.
Jesus reminds us, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Matthew 6:21, KJV). Giving is not about pressure or obligation; it is about the heart. When we give, we declare that God is our provider and that we trust Him fully.
At our church, we believe giving is a joyful response to God’s goodness. God has given us salvation, grace, and new life through Jesus Christ, and generosity flows naturally from a grateful heart. “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase” (Proverbs 3:9, KJV).
Scripture also reminds us that giving supports the work of the ministry and meets real needs. “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts” (Malachi 3:10, KJV). Through faithful giving, lives are touched, the Gospel is shared, and the work of God moves forward.
The Apostle Paul encourages us with these words: “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7, KJV). God is concerned with the attitude of our hearts, not the size of the gift.
We encourage you to pray and seek the Lord regarding giving. Give willingly, faithfully, and joyfully, trusting that God sees your obedience and will use it for His glory.
God's people have always been characterized by /giving, but the way they've given has changed over time. For example, people no longer bring goats, sheep, calves and grain to God as they did in the Old Testament. Giving money is simpler, cleaner and theologically sounder since Jesus has made the ultimate sacrifice. As the way that money is exchanged changes, we at Paradise Church are extending members a new way to offer their financial gifts to God.
At the Paradise Church , we'll continue to take an offering during the service for people who prefer to give by cash or check using a traditional Tithe envelope. For members who'd rather transfer money electronically, though, giving through the church website is an option, as is Venmo and CashApp.
Thank you for partnering with us as we serve the Lord together and share the hope of Jesus Christ.
